London church ministries and lifestages
London International Church of Christ is a non-denominational group of Christians, open to people from all walks of life across this great City.
Young, old, rich, poor, new to Christianity or a devoted follower since childhood, every single person who joins our family is welcomed with open arms.
We have ministries set up across London for almost any group that you could possibly think of, allowing like minded people at similar stages of their lives who may have experienced similar trials and tribulations, to come together and find answers through Jesus Christ.
Our Ministry Groups Include:
Christian Men's Ministry
Men often find it difficult to open up, even to their partners, wives, or non-christian friends. Great communication between sexes is certainly possible, and healthy, but sometimes it’s easier to start out with our fellow men. After all, many of them may be in a similar position and know the challenges of being a man in the modern world.
Jesus spent a huge amount of his time chilling out with his male friends, not only engaging in intense ministry but also relaxing socially and bonding together.
Our Men’s ministry sessions aren’t just spend sitting around talking about the bible (although we do do that!) we might have a BBQ, enter a pub quiz, or get together for dinner, anything to connect with each other and discuss what it means to be a godly man.
Christian Women's Ministry
London is one of the most diverse cities on Earth and our Women’s ministry is made up of incredibly gifted Women from all works of life. Daughters, mothers, sisters, wives, and singles, we are the women committed to following God’s word and encouraging each other to do the same.
Jesus Christ treated women with the utmost respect and the Bible tells us that women were created as equal by God, despite many feeling understandably disappointed by the dominance of males in the stories of the book.
Our women’s ministry is an opportunity for us to come together as women and discuss how we pick up our cross to follow Jesus whilst maintaining our careers, studies, homes, hobbies, relationships, and parenthood. Not an easy task, but one we undertake as a team.
Christian Singles Ministry
Our single adult ministry welcomes adults of all ages, students, career-minded people, those living with family, and those living alone.
We all have our own unique life situation but share at least one common trait, we all love God and want to live our lives through Him. Single people are often shunned by traditional churches with a focus on married life and those living it. Our singles ministry brings us together to worship God with no stigma or judgement, regardless of career, relationship status, or stage of life.
God has good things planned for us all, whether that be in a marriage or otherwise (Jeremiah 29:11), and we don’t believe your faith should be dampened by the pressure of your community or local church to seek out a relationship before you and the Lord are ready for it. And don’t worry, if you do end up in a relationship, we won’t kick you out!
Mature Singles Ministry
Singles ministry can often feel a lot like a waiting room from which young people can’t wait to escape and find a partner to start a family with.
Many Christians are happy living a joyful single Christian life, however, and are looking for a place to join together in worship with others of a similar mindset. There is no stigma or judgement here, just a group of devoted single Christians rejoicing in the love of Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself was single for his whole life on earth after all!
Married Couples Ministry
Marriage can be a wonderful thing, after all it was invented by God (Genesis 2:24) but that doesn’t mean it is easy. Spending so much time with one person can lead to all sorts of potential points of conflict family planning, finances, communication, sex, and much more besides. The Bible can provide all the answers that you are looking for but it helps to have someone point you in the right direction.
Meeting with one of our mentoring couples for a chat and a couple can give you the tools you need to work on your relationship and build a godly life together.
Our married couple’s ministry takes many forms, from one-on-one or two-or-two counselling sessions to group discussions and Bible studies
FAMILY Ministry
Churches often separate families into different age groups during their times of worship and whilst this can be beneficial it is important for Christian families to learn how to worship together and create a household devoted to the love of the Lord.
Parents are called to lead their children to love God (Deuteronomy 6:5-7) but without the right guidance attempts to do so can result in too much pressure being put on young people who end up turning their backs on the church instead. Our family ministry will help teach parents how to put Christ at the heart of family and children just have joyful a life led through God can be.
Young Professionals’ Ministry
Finding time to worship whilst building a successful career and navigating the world as a young professional is tough. The urge to impress and fit in can lead to numerous temptations and without work can leave your relationship with God neglected.
Coming together with other young professionals who are facing similar temptations in their own lives and taking time together to put God back at the heart of everything you do at home and work.
STUDENTS MINISTRY
Student life comes with all sorts of temptations and pressures and it can be easy to lose sight of your purpose at this stage of life when so many things are changing.
You might have moved out of your family home for the first time, meeting many new people every day, and facing all sorts of challenges you never even dreamed of. Being a student can be an exciting time and will help form who you are for the rest of your life.
It can also be scary, intimidating, and incredibly stressful, and having a safe place to come and meet with other Christians, read the Bible, socialise, and discuss our issues together could be just the thing you need. Anyone looking for a welcoming and friendly space for encouragement or advice is more than welcome at our student ministry.
Teens Ministry
The young adult years are some of the most formative of your life and our teens ministry supports teens in their journey of discovery, both of self, and of Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
We don’t tell you what to think, we help you to seek out your own faith and build your own relationships. Christianity has no age restrictions and spending time with other young Christians can be incredibly valuable for teens in building meaningful relationships.
You will have the opportunity to read and discuss the Bible, attend fun monthly events and devotionals and learn how to study the message of the gospel for yourself. We hope to see you soon!
KIDS KINGDOM
Kids Kingdom is the affectionate name given to our children’s ministry here at London church, helping our young people grow their knowledge of God in a fun-filled and enjoyable environment.
Far too many Christian groups put children off Church for life with lengthy lectures that have no real application in their own lives, building negative associations with Christianity that are hard to shift.
Not us! There are too many games to play and cake to eat for this to happen, with age-appropriate activities that introduce Christ through song, stories, games, and crafts.
